I was doing everything to be related to
diving and started professional freediving
with twenty-two years and did ten years of
competitive freediving
Two years before I stoped competitive diving
I discovered underwater photography

As a child I grew up with art all around me
My grandfather was a painter and my great
grandfather was a pioneer in the early days
of photography he worked together with a
guy who founded Agfa later

What is so special about a predator
A predator has to be a careful animal and
can’t afford mistakes they need to anticipate
plan forward and collaborate to survive
When you take pictures underwater you also
need to use hunting techniques stay calm and
confident

Today
Diving and photography lead me to marine
biology which helped me to understand the
whole eco system and most of my job now is
to create an awareness for the eco system

Why this island
Its close to Europe and also has seasoning
I wanted to be in the sea close to nature and
here you feel like being part of nature
You are not disconnected from nature and
you definitely have to calm down here
