The analog STREETMEET is a new and individual format. Inspired by street philosophy and classic analog photography. Representing worldwide the human soul and spirit from the streets of our cities.
You and me, one full day, one roll of film, on a walk ‘n’ talk through your city. The Streetmeet is all about your participation by expressing your personal perspective as a human on our planet. Baseline of the project is a free and open conversation taking place during a walk and talk from sunrise to sunset. I listen to what you have to say and capture your individual perspective by writing down your words and taking twelve contextual pictures of you and the environment we pass. The timeframe of a full day gives us the essential possibility to engage, connect and express while creating an impression of what’s important to you as a human. Finally representing your beautiful soul without noise and distraction by six selected pictures and six statements within a single frame.
The project is conceived as a lifelong series. The entire Streetmeet collection showcases personal perspectives and attitudes of people around the world in the context of their social and cultural environment. Capturing a collective snapshot of our human condition. Manifested through a global fine art collection, exhibited in galleries around the world. Where our common and evolving human expression is the essential part of art.
All is visualized by the clear and simple Streetmeet design. Configurable and adaptable to fit different walls that desire a poetic Meet.
Each single participant is an essential part of the overall expression. Thank you for your perspective.
The CITYMEET is an autobiographical series. The first image of a Citymeet usually shows a person who inspired me to write a text. All subsequent images show environmental shots that complement the story. Overall, it is simple poetry from my soul.
The MODELMEET is a portrait series with professional models. One model, one city, one day and a few rolls of film turning into images and rough sketches.
PRINTED.B is inspired by the era of the contact sheet. Preselect your favorite pictures with a red square. Then choose size, paper and border to request single prints. For aesthetic reasons, all my images contain an authentic amount of dust, scratches, and grain captured within the process of analog photography. Just as authentic as real life you know. So if you need it shiny, you better invite Barbie and Ken to lunch.
EDITIONS showcase the analog available and manufactured Streetmeets. Manufactured with passion and style to feed all the hungry walls out there screaming for more meet. More editions are on the way as this is just the beginning of the Streetmeet journey.
Hi, my name is Boris Eschwey,
Analog photography and interpersonal exchange are my way to explore ontology. The Streetmeet format enables me to create, express and communicate what’s important to me as a human. My approach is to capture and cast a person’s unique character and attitude into simple poetic statements and contextual images without noise and distraction. I want to show the essence and beauty of our souls through different perspectives. It’s simply about us as human beings, and it is my vision to manifest a collective and positive snapshot of our human condition to give reality a better feeling. Until today I walked over 700 kilometers with 73 different peoples at my side exchanging perspectives. I keep going because it enables me to get out of my own head and expand my own perspective to see the bigger picture. We’re all the same but you can’t put us in a box. And I know that I know nothing.
